Cruz Azul and América Battle to a scoreless Draw at Snapdragon Stadium
SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Cruz Azul and Club América renewed their rivalry Thursday night at Snapdragon Stadium, meeting in a highly anticipated international friendly in front of a passionate Southern California crowd.

Despite chances on both sides, neither team was able to break through as the Clásico Joven ended in a 0–0 draw.
The match gave both Liga MX clubs an opportunity to maintain rhythm and evaluate their squads during the international break. While the friendly carried no league points, the intensity of the rivalry was evident throughout the night.

Cruz Azul also suffered a late setback when defender Alan Montes went down with cramps in the 79th minute. After receiving attention from the medical staff, Montes was replaced by Josué Díaz as the match continued toward a scoreless finish.

Cruz Azul now turns its attention to its next challenge in Southern California, as La Máquina will face the LA Galaxy in an upcoming matchup.

For fans in the region, the San Diego match was another opportunity to see two of Mexico’s biggest clubs on U.S. soil, while Cruz Azul will look to carry that momentum into its meeting with the Galaxy.
