The club has also gained valuable experience on major stages, including participation in multiple championships and the $80K Copa Guero Championship in Oregon.
Owners Who Lead by Example
Club owners Justin and Richard Camara have played an important role in Montclair Academy’s growth. Their involvement goes beyond managing the organization. Both are players who can compete in the UPSL Division One or Premier Division, depending on where they are needed.
They have also personally funded team uniforms and covered team-related expenses, helping provide players with the resources needed to compete and develop.
Their hands-on approach reflects the spirit of grassroots soccer: investing time, money, and energy into creating opportunities for the community.
Building Across the UPSL
Montclair Academy operates multiple teams across different UPSL divisions, giving players opportunities to compete at various levels within the organization.
That structure allows the club to support more athletes while creating a pathway centered on competition, growth, and progression.
With multiple teams, championship experience, and a coaching staff committed to player development, Montclair Academy has quickly established itself as a serious program in Southern California.
A Strong Start at the Top
Winning five of its last six matches has placed Montclair Academy at the top of the standings, but the club knows the season is far from over.
Maintaining that position will require continued focus from the players and coaching staff. Moran and Rodriguez will look to keep the team prepared, while Justin and Richard continue supporting the organization behind the scenes.
For a club less than Three years old, the progress has been significant.
Five wins in six matches. First place in the standings. Multiple championship appearances. Teams competing across the UPSL.
Montclair Academy is not just building a winning team. It is building a lasting grassroots soccer program.
